Terms of use
Last updated: October 15, 2026.
These terms apply when you use the Kola Duo app or this website. By creating an account, you agree to them. Questions: hello@koladuo.app.
What Kola Duo is
Kola Duo helps a couple or a household keep track of what they spend, together, as a cooperative game. It is a record-keeping and motivation tool. It is not financial, tax or legal advice, and it does not move money or connect to your bank.
The beta
Kola Duo is in beta. Features may change, appear or go away, and the app may have bugs or be unavailable at times. We work to keep your data safe and complete, but please keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 to use Kola Duo.
- Use an email address you control: sign-in codes are sent there.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else got in.
Your household and your content
- The expenses, notes, names and goals you enter stay yours. You let us store and process them only to run the app for you and your household, as described in the privacy policy.
- Members of a household see its shared expenses and totals. Mark an expense as private to keep it to yourself.
- Only invite people you trust to see your shared spending.
Acceptable use
Do not use Kola Duo to break the law, to harass anyone, to get into accounts or households that are not yours, or to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
Premium
- The game for two is free. Premium adds cosmetic items and more capacity; it never makes the game go faster.
- A Premium subscription covers the whole household. It is bought, renewed and cancelled through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
- Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.
Ending your use
You can stop using Kola Duo and delete your account at any time, from Settings in the app. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it. If we ever close the service, we will give you notice and time to take your data out.
Liability
Kola Duo is provided as it is, especially during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions you make based on what the app shows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection law of the country where you live.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so in the app or by email before they apply. If you do not agree with the new terms, you can delete your account.
